Service Description

These sessions are for Home Educated children 7-12 (KS2), supported by Montessori teacher and home-ed mum. The sessions are relaxed and engaging, using the Montessori philosophy of following children's interests and hands-on, engaging activities. We employ a democratic method in the learning space – respecting each other's ideas and fostering kind and respectful group learning skills, whilst supporting individual self-esteem and self-confidence. In Monti’s Literacy Club, we cover many aspects of literacy – creative writing, different literally genre’s, grammar, English language skills, functional literacy skills, story design and structure, and much more! We learn in a holistic way, along the way covering other subjects and interests, and being set within the library, we also learn library and research skills. Info: These sessions run bi-weekly, term time as a course of 3 sessions. Individual one-off sessions are available, message to book. 1st floor of Southwater Library, Southwater Square, Southwater Way, Telford TF3 4JG. 12:30-2:30 midday. Every other week – term time only. Find us in the nook, at the back by the terrace. There are plenty of facilities in the library, and nearby for parents to enjoy whilst your child is in the session (drop-off is also available). Many families stay and play afterward at the Town Park.
